David is currently completing the design of a green home in Bloomington, Indiana. David is a frequent speaker on Green Design, most recently at the Chicago Architecture Foundation's DIY Green Home & Garden Series.
David is a LEED accredited professional and a member of the American Society of Interior Designers. His mission is to help transform the Interior Design profession to conform to Cradle to Cradle design principles, while helping clients make their homes healthy and sustainable.
He has worked as a designer at Gail Prauss Interior Design in Oak Park, Illinois since 1995. In the early nineties he designed furniture and custom built-ins and studied Interior Design at the Harrington Institute, from which he earned his degree. In New York City in the eighties, David worked as a fine finish carpenter and tried to become a rock star. David plays guitar, upright bass and dobro. His favorite thing to do is to sit in with his son's rock band. David earned a BA in music from Indiana University in 1978.
